Oyewole “Wole” Akande is a seasoned logistics and supply chain management expert with 20 years of experience in high-stakes operations across West Africa. He joined MEBS in 2013 as Nigeria’s Country Manager and later became the Regional Director for West Africa. Wole has successfully led critical logistics projects, including emergency health shipments during the Ebola and COVID-19 crises. With a strong background in international freight forwarding and last-mile distribution, he ensures timely and cost-effective delivery of essential goods. In Nigeria, MEBS operates as both a 3PL and 4PL, providing extensive support for health commodity delivery to the last mile. Wole holds a master’s in economics and finance from the University of Navarra and a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University. His expertise includes emergency logistics, vendor management, and strategic business development. Passionate about mentoring and continuous learning, Wole is fluent in English and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish and Yoruba.
